PoK leaders condemn Islamabad's crackdown on peaceful march

Geneva/PoK, 18 Mar, 2019:- PoK leaders and activists living in exile have condemned the state brutality of Pakistan after its security forces heckled, assaulted and arrested common people and activists of United Kashmir People's National Party for carrying out a peaceful march that commemorated the Kashmir foundation day on March 16. Although it wasn't unprecedented, Pakistan's claims of providing equal rights to the people of occupied Kashmir fell flat with these developments. Referring to the assault by Pakistani forces, Chairman of the United Kashmir People's National Party Shaukat Ali Kashmiri said that Pakistan was threatened by the fact that there was a sense of Kashmiri unity in the people of the region.
