Kashmiris highlight Pakistan-led atrocities to mark death anniversary of Arif Shahid

London, UK / Kotli, PoK, MAY 14, 2019:- A series of protests and events in Europe, UK and parts of Pakistan occupied Kashmir mark the death anniversary of Arif Shahid, a Kashmiri political activist. The Jammu Kashmir National Independence Alliance (JKNIA), an umbrella alliance of Kashmiri political parties and civil society based in the United Kingdom carried out a protest outside the Pakistan Embassy in London on the 6th death anniversary of Arif Shahid. They shouted slogans against Pakistani establishment accusing it of playing an active role in the killings of political activists in Pakistan occupied Kashmir including one of their tallest leaders, Arif Shahid. They also demanded an expeditious inquiry into the killing of their leader and the subsequent arrest of the perpetrators.
